The Jewellers and Watchmakers of New Zealand (JWNZ) is a trade organization that provides its members with many benefits among which are discounted freight through Express Couriers and a monthly industry magazine. It also arranges an annual trade fair in Auckland. Not all jewellers are members and also some of its members are in associated fields such as diamond merchants, tool suppliers, insurance providers and gem wholesalers. By joining and supporting a national organization such as this, businesses in the jewellery trade gain a voice at the national level and also maintain a uniformity and standard of services that is illustrative of the importance we place on integrity and professionalism. |

Gemmological Association of New Zealand (GANZ) was formed in 1979 to
help promote and further the education of gemmology in New Zealand. We are a small group of 70+ members, most of whom are qualified gemmologists. We have a number of students at various stages of their course, doing either the British Gem A Diploma or the Australian GAA Diploma. We publish a quarterly newsletter, hold bi-annual seminars, and other talks/ lectures as and when speakers are available. We are a satellite training centre for Gem A (Gemmological Association of Great Britain) and GAA (Gemmological Association of Australia). |
